I seriously have no idea what day it is without looking

Where did I leave off?

Oh yes...in Mesa Verde.

I choose to cough up some serious cash for a four-hour tour! I wanted to be in a bus. I needed a break from driving. So I was carted around the park by a former school teacher named Bill while an extremely sarcastic retired ponytailed Park Ranger named Stirling gave us the 411 on the Ancestral Puebloans who once inhabited the area.

Stirling makes me want to be a Park Ranger when I grow up. I dig anthropology and geology. I could do it. It is like teaching, but all your students want to be there and they are middle aged. Where do I apply?

Um. Beautiful!

One man on the tour discussed how "behind" native North Americans were compared with Europeans. Geez! Stirling set him straight. I helped. Let's not compare apples to oranges for crying out loud. Look at the global picture before you start evaluating. I'm not interested in getting into this rant. If anyone would care to debate me on this topic, give me a call.

A little closer.

I was able to tour this. Amazing. I love the theories generated from archaeology finds. I was in heaven listening to this rangers a talk about this.

Again...I want to be a Park Ranger when I grow up. I think that I could look cute in the uniform.

Onward to Utah.

Utah is ridiculously gorgeous at first. I mean look!

But then it is all you see for awhile and the novelty wears off and suddenly it is just red dust.

Here is a pic of my only traveling companion:

The GPS system talks to me. I haven't gotten lost yet. However, the damn gas gauge is faulty! This is why I ran out of gas back in Arizona.

I'm getting amazing gas mileage. Thank you very much.
